#HeistClub - Crime Fiction Online Writing Workshop

It will run from October 1 to November 7, 2015. No new signups will be accepted after August 31.

Work produced in this class is copyright author. The class will be FREE for participants who will be able to enter a publishing or distribution agreement with Bronze Age Media, Inc. (that’s us!). Those who DO NOT WISH TO ENTER an agreement with the sponsor may still participate but pay a CLASS FEE of P2,000.

It will be mostly online. Lessons will be sent to your email. Please regularly check the email address you provide in this form.

There will be two optional face-to-face classes in a location to be announced.

Participants are expected to write and submit an ORIGINAL crime fiction story minimum 5,000 words. Must not be fantasy or supernatural crime — i.e., the crime should not have been committed by supernatural means. All age groups (YA, NA, Adult) will be considered.

English or Tagalog/Taglish will be accepted. Characters must be Filipino.

Mina V. Esguerra is organizing the class but she will not be the main lecturer. Lessons will be given by resource persons (soon to be announced).

Like in other classes, there will be a “challenge” for the author in this one. Participants will have the option of leaving the class at any time, if they feel that they do not wish to write their story based on this format. Pre-written and unpublished manuscripts may be used in the class as long as they conform to the challenge given to the class.
